WAYS YOU CAN DONATE TO GRAND VIEW CARE CENTER

Grand View is a charitable, non profit organization and, therefore, your donations are tax deductible according to IRS regulations. This also means that there is no person or corporation to draw profits from our income.  All money taken in goes to the care center and this is one of the reasons that we can provide such high quality care at such a reasonable price. You should know that 100% of your donation will go towards one of these projects listed below, or towards a project of your specification.  Your donations help us provide the "extras" that makes the quality of life for our residents so high.

We have many ways that  you can support our organization through donations.  Some ideas are listed below.  If you have any questions or ideas, please feel free to call Grand View at 608-989-2511, or email gvcclsn@triwest.net (mention donation in the subject).  We will be extremely happy to help you.

-Happy occasions are truly complete when they are shared.  Making a gift in honor of another or an event is a wonderful way to give tribute.  Donations in honor of are used according to your specifications or placed in one of the funds listed below and are listed in our Senior Press publication.

-A lasting legacy.  There is no finer tribute to the memory of a loved one than one which perpetuates their memory through time and enhances the lives of others.  Grand View is happy to receive memorials throughout the year.  They range from a couple dollars to several thousand dollars. These memorials will be used to provide the extras that make life at Grand View more fulfilling and fun.  They are also listed in our bimonthly Senior Press and  the annual Four Score and More publication.

-Several individuals and organizations continue to provide annual support and this is extremely important to Grand View.  We are heartened that we have loyal friends who faithfully include Grand View among their contributions.

For information on estate planning, inclusion of Grand View Care Center in a will, trusts and charitable gift annuities, designation of Grand View as the beneficiary of an insurance policy, or other contribution planning, contact our Administrator, Stacy Suchla, at 608-989-2511.

-We also have supporters who give a one-time donation. This, as well as all of the types of donations mentioned above, is put into one of the funds we have open, or the donor can specify how they would like the donation to be used.  It will be listed in our Senior Press and Four Score and More publications.  In cases where the gift is sufficient to purchase a particular item or complete a fund, a plaque will be made recognizing the donor and/or the reason for the donation.

A brass plate displaying the donor and the person or event that  the donation is honoring will be placed in the front entrance hall for donations over $300.

Current Funds

Transportation Fund - Our fleet of vehicles is used to transport residents..  Donations to this fund will be used to purchase a handicapped equipped van which is needed to transport residents to doctor appointments, community events, fun day trips such as fishing and picnics, and even to special family occasions.   Families are also able to use our vehicles to transport their loved ones. This fund also collects donations for a garage to house our vehicles on our grounds.

Shelter and Scenic Walkway - we have created a walkway around the grounds of Grand View for residents to walk or to be pushed in wheelchairs.  This walkway has several  seating areas; winds along a small creek and through a wooded area.  Our grounds are beautiful and this walkway allows residents to enjoy the beautiful Wisconsin weather and the serene rural setting.   This walkway was constructed so that additional gardens and attractions can be added as donations come in.  We also added a new covered Shelter at the beginning of the path.  Our scenic walkway is a work in progress and your donations towards this venture are appreciated.

  Refurbishing Fund- We are currently collecting donations to refurbish our 500 wing.  However, in recent years this fund has helped to redecorate and refurnish our dining room, the 100 and 200 wings, our 300 solarium and our 500 wing sun room, and most recently our Memory Care Unit. 

Alzheimer's Unit - Monies donated to this fund will purchase activity items and furnishing for these special needs residents.

Activity Fund - Donations to this fund are used to purchase items for our activities program and to allow us to bring in special entertainment that otherwise would not be possible.

Technology Fund - Donations to this fund are used for items such as a Digital Camera, Laptop computers to enable our staff to bring to the computer to the resident or desk top computers for resident's use in a community area, big screen TVs for ease of viewing by our elderly (especially nice for Friday movie night), DVD players, Wii games... the list goes on and on.  As technology changes, so do our needs.
