Memory Care

The Memory Care Unit is the result of years of research and experiance.  Our memory care unit is designed for people with Alzheimer's disease, dementia, and related memory impairments.

The unit is designed to meet the needs of all stages of dementia.  The interior is in a circular configuration to encourage residents to walk, and prevent a sense of being lost in a dead-end hall.  There is a fully functional kitchen so residents are able to do familiar activities just like in their own homes.  We also have a sun porch, that overlooks a creek and wooded areas, where residents can relax or visit with friends and family.  These amenities allow for residents to enjoy the sunshine and scenery in a safe environment.

Twenty four hours a day, our experienced staff helps residents with personal cares, medical, nutritional, social and spiritual needs, and a wide array of planned recreational activities.  Much time is spent just having fun, and smiles are a common sight in this unit!

Consistent staff assignments allow for special bonds to develop between staff, residents, and families.  With the help of families and friends, we get to know each resident as an individual with a unique heritage and special gifts.  Much time is spent just having fun and doing many of the activities that they would do in their own homes.

When residents want to lounge, we have plenty of soft, comfy recliners for relaxing and napping.
