Hospice Care

Grand View Care Center has contracts with local hospice care organizations. Placement arrangements can be made between your hospice provider and Grand View's Social Services Staff.

Hospice care is service and care for terminally ill patients and their families. Generally this includes pain relief and support services, physician and nursing services coordination, physical care, therapy, and counseling. To be eligible for hospice an individual must be diagnosed as terminally ill.

The goal of any hospice care program is not to cure, but to provide comfort and maintain the highest possible quality of life for as long as life remains.  With this goal in mind, our focus is not on death, but on compassionate specialized care for the living. Our interdisciplinary team provides support for the whole person and those who are sharing the person's journey.
