Memory Care

Our Memory Care Unit is filled with people who are just like everyone else.  They raised families, held jobs and had hopes and dreams for the future.  The devastation of Alzheimer's disease or dementia may change the dreams and lifestyle, but it does not change the basics.  They are people needing love, dignity and care.  Grand View's Special Care Unit provides all of these.  Plus, the unique setting is designed to allow independence, safety and individuality.

The Unit is the result of years of research and experience.  The design is circular to encourage residents to walk and to prevent a sense of being lost.  Life is relaxed in this unit, and directed by the resident.  Special bonds develop between staff, residents and families.  With the help of families and friends, we get to know each resident as an individual with a unique heritage and special gifts.  Much time is spent just having fun and doing many of the activities that they would do in their own homes.
